Local tip
Chasing the Aurora means standing still outside for long periods, often late at night in sub-zero temperatures. The key? Layers. Start with a wool base layer, add an insulating mid-layer like fleece or down, and top it off with a windproof outer shell. Don’t forget warm socks, gloves, and a hat that covers your ears. Staying warm and comfortable makes all the difference when waiting for the lights to appear.
