One of our great classics which has been succeeding for many years. All the "postcards" of the fjords region are on the program! This trip will take you through Oslo, Lillehammer, Ålesund, Bergen, the Troll Road, the national parcs and the fjords.
Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Oslo
Arrival at Oslo Airport. Pick up your rental car (not included in our rates – on request only). Depending on your arrival time, you’ll be free to make your first discovery of this human size, lively and attractive capital. The city centre of Oslo is approx. 45 km from the airport.

Day 2: Oslo – Lillehammer (approx. 180 km)
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure to the north and Minnesund, not far from the village of Eidsvoll where was signed the first Norwegian constitution on May 17, 1905. Pursue your trip along Lake Mjøsa, the country’s largest with a length of 117 km. In Hamar, discover the Olympic ice rink in the shape of an upside down Drakkar before arriving in Lillehammer, the site of the 1994 Winter Olympics. Climb to the top of the ski jumping hill for a superb view of the city and its valley!

Day 3: Lillehammer – Ålesund (approx. 370 km)
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure to the famous valley of Gudbrandsdal, where you’ll discover many traditional farms before passing through another valley, the beautiful Romsdalen with the tallest vertical rock face in Europe, the Troll Wall. Arrival in Ålesund, located at the mouth of the Storfjord. Stretching into the sea, this scenic city Is built on islands and famous for its “art nouveau” style in which it was rebuilt after a fire completely destroyed the place in 1904. Right outside of the city centre, climb the steps to Mount Aksla to enjoy a gorgeous view of the city, the surrounding islands and the Sunnmøre Alps!

Day 4: Ålesund – Geirangerfjord – Valdrès (approx. 400 km)
Breakfast at the hotel. Drive along the Storfjord to Linen. Crossing by ferry between Linge and Eidsdal, you will continue on a beautiful mountain road called the "Eagle Road" which offers splendid views of the Geirangerfjord. From here, your route will continue to Jotunheimen or Josterdalsbreen national park region, with impressive views of mountain peaks, plateaus and even glaciers.

Day 5: Valdrès – Sognefjord – Bergen region (approx. 260 km)
Breakfast at the hotel. Today, head for the mountainous Filefjell plateau before descending to Lærdal. In this picturesque fjord village, you can discover the famous Borgund stave church (entrance not included). From Lærdal, you can either drive through one of the longest tunnels in Europe (25km) to Flåm and Sognefjord, or take the longer but scenic mountain road up Aurlandsfjellet. You will then visit the Stalheim Valley and the town of Voss before arriving in Bergen, the capital of the fjords.

Day 6: Bergen – Geilo/Gol (approx. 320 km)
Breakfast at the hotel. Spend your morning exploring Bergen with its iconic colourful houses before departing along the Hardanger Fjord. This very romantic area is especially known for its fruit trees and waterfalls - we recommend a stop at the Steindalsfossen Falls where a small trail takes you behind the waterfall. Crossing (toll not included) of the new 1.380m long suspension bridge over Hardanger Fjord. Here, you can stop at another impressive waterfall : Vøringsfossen, one of the highest in Norway. Pursued by the mountain plateau of Hardangervidda, this national park is a real eldorado for hikers and fishermen.

Day 7: Geilo – Oslo region (appox. 190 km)
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure for Oslo by the beautiful Hallingdal Valley and the Ringerike region. You will have the afternoon free to discover the Norwegian capital. We recommend the peninsula Bydgøy and its museums (Viking, Fram, Kontiki ...), the Vigeland Sculpture Park, the Munch Museum, the district of Aker Brygge, the Avenue Karl Johan.

Day 8: Departure from Oslo
Breakfast at the hotel. According to flight schedules, free time and route to the airport, and leave the car.

Transport & Transfers
When exploring the Hardanger region, make sure to stop at one of the farms you will cross on your trip to enjoy the tastiest fruits from local, short-circuit productions! You may even find some of the famous local Hardanger Cider – it is so iconic the region hosts an international cider festival in May.

Explore the amazing UNESCO-listed Geirangerfjord! The region's distinctive natural landscape was sculpted over multiple ice ages, as glaciers carved deep fjords and molded the towering mountains. Take a cruise, embark on a guided kayak tour, rent a bike… Everything is possible!
