Magic Lapland

Day 1: Arrival in Rovaniemi

Arrival in Rovaniemi airport (flight not included). Meeting with your tour guide (language spoken dependent on the guest), who will be with you throughout the journey. Transfer by coach to your hotel in the city centre. Lunch at leisure. According to your arrival time, pick up your thermal clothing at Rovaniemi city center (delivery to the hotel’s reception on request). If arrival is late during the day, thermal clothing might have to be picked up on the morning of day 2.
Dinner and accommodation in a city centre hotel. Original Sokos Vaakuna Rovaniemi or similar.

Day 2: Meet the huskies – Aurora hunting

Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning, leave for the husky farm, the musher and his dogs are waiting for you! The lovely husky speedy ride will take you through the snowy winter landscapes. Enjoy the peace and be in total harmony with the animal and the nature. Once you are back at the farm, you get to visit the kennel, it’s a great opportunity to take photos. You will also enjoy some hot drinks with the musher to learn more about the life of huskies in Lapland. Transfers both ways by bus. Lunch at leisure. You can enjoy the afternoon free to visit the city or go shopping. After diner, start your hunt for the Aurora Borealis. Your experienced guide will take you to the best places with the most chance to see northern lights. Prepare your camera to take magical pictures ! Transfer back to your hotel late at night.

Day 3: Visit Santa Claus' village

Breakfast at the hotel. For half a day, you will have the chance to discover the famous Santa Claus Village. You can chose to spend your time there as you wish : meet the real Santa Claus, send your letter from Santa’s post office or browse for souvenirs in the many Design- and Handicraftshops. Transfer from/to the village with a private bus. Lunch at leisure. Rest of the day at leisure.

Day 4: Zoo Day at Ranua Wildlife Park

Breakfast at the hotel. On today’s excursion you will visit the Rauna zoo where you will be able to see the local Fauna of Lapland. It hosts a home for approximately 50 species and all together 200 arctic animals such as polar and brown bears, lynxes, foxes and numerous birds and musk ox, just to mention few. We walk through the park to meet all the animals and before returning to Rovaniemi, we enjoy buffet lunch and have time to visit Fazer’s sweetshop. Rest of the day at leisure.

Day 5: Explore the Arctic Snow Hotel and meet the reindeers

Breakfast at the hotel. You will get the chance to meet one of the most iconic animals of Lapland : the reindeer! A bus will take you to a reindeer farm where the herder is welcoming you. You will get information about the reindeer herding in Lapland and enjoy a short ride in the forest in sleigh pulled by reindeer. What a nice way to discover the peaceful Lappish landscape and to get acquainted with that arctic animal! The tour will end up with some hot drinks and more information about these arctic animals! Transfers way and back by bus. Lunch at leisure. Later that day, a bus will take you to the magical Arctic Snow Hotel, a must see sight in Lapland. On arrival, a local guide will welcome you and will give you a tour of this ice and snow hotel to explain how it was built. Transfer back to your hotel after some free time to take pictures or take a hot drink to warm you up !
Dinner at leisure for your last night. Accommodation - Original Sokos Vaakuna Rovaniemi or similar.

Day 6: Departure from Rovaniemi

Breakfast at the hotel. Free lunch (not included). Transfer to the airport by coach, with help from your local guide.
