Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Oslo
Welcome to Norway. Start your trip in the beautiful capital of Oslo, a city full of life and full of lights in winter! You will first head from the airport to your hotel (transfer not included) before enjoying a little stroll in the city with maybe some snow!
Accommodation in Oslo 3*.
Day 2: Oslo
This day will be entirely at your disposal to discover the city's must-see places such as the Vigeland Sculpture Park, the Royal Palace and more importantly the Christmas Market of Oslo! Situated on Oslo's main street, Karl Johan Gate, the market features many food stalls, a Ferris' wheel and an ice rink if you feel like ice-skatting! The market opens at the end of November until the end of December.
Accommodation in Oslo 3*.
Day 3: Oslo - Myrdal - Flåm (train)
Depart in the morning by train. The 4-hour journey from Oslo to Myrdal is part of the rail link between Oslo and Bergen, which is considered to be one of the most beautiful train journeys in the world. This railway line links Norway's two largest cities and offers a glimpse of the diversity of the Norwegian landscape. The railway line from Myrdal to Flåm runs along the 900-metre-high steep mountain walls, offering breath-taking views of the mountainous landscape and its many waterfalls, all the way to the Sognefjord.
Accommodation in Flåm area 3*.
Day 4: Flåm - Sognefjord - Bergen (boat-bus-train)
From Flåm, continue by boat on the Nærøyfjord to Gudvangen. The Nærøyfjord is the narrowest fjord in Europe and was recently added to UNESCO's World Heritage List. From Gudvangen, the journey continues by bus through the Nærøyfjord valley before heading up the Stalheimskleiva, with its 13 hairpin bends (only open in summer). The last part of the journey will be by train, from Voss to Bergen, Norway's second-largest city and the only one in the world to be surrounded by 7 mountains and 7 fjords.
Accommodation in Bergen 3*.
Day 5: Bergen
Discover the city on your own. Highlights include the Hanseatic port of Bryggen, the Fløibanen funicular railway, the fish and flower market, but also the largest Gingerbread town at Bergen's Christmas market! Called "pepperkakker", the gingerbread cookies are a big part of Norwegian Christmas celebration and in Bergen they take it seriously. Schools and kindergartens contribute every year in making a miniature version of Bergen - all in gingerbread-cookies! The Christmas Market is open from 21/11/2025 until 22/12/2025.
Accommodation in Bergen 3*.
Day 6: Departure from Bergen
