Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Bergen
Arrival in Bergen according to your itinerary. Bergen is a picturesque coastal city located in western Norway, surrounded by mountains and fjords, including the famous Sognefjord. Known as the "Gateway to the Fjords," it boasts colourful wooden houses in the historic Bryggen district, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The city has a vibrant cultural scene, a bustling fish market, and offers easy access to stunning natural landscapes, making it a popular destination for nature lovers and tourists.

Day 2: Bergen - Ulvik
Departure for Hardanger region. Hardanger is like one big postcard, and almost everywhere you turn you look straight into a roaring waterfall or a flowering fruit tree. From Bergen, it is possible to drive on one of the Norwegian scenic roads and make several stops to admire waterfalls. You follow this fjord to Ulvik, a small village located on the coast of the fjord.

Day 3: Ulvik-Skjolden
Today, continue your journey toward another fjord, the Sognefjord. Head for Voss, passing through the Stalheim canyon, then Gudvangen and Flåm. From there, it is possible to take the 25 km tunnel to Lærdal or another scenic road, Aurlandsfjellet. At the end of the world’s longest and deepest fjord, surrounded by steep mountains with spectacular waterfalls and the Jotunheimen, Breheimen and Jostedalen National Parks nearby, you will find the idyllic village Skjolden.

Day 4: Skjolden-Geiranger
Drive North via Lom to Geiranger, on Sognefjellet. From here, hold your breath and get your camera ready - the surroundings are truly stunning, worthy of the most beautiful postcards. Geirangerfjord was added to UNESCO's World Heritage List in 2005, and is a truly unique place, with its waterfalls and steep hills.

Day 5: Geiranger – Hellesylt - Loen
Explore the Geirangerfjord while taking the car ferry to Hellesylt. The scenery is breathtaking! You can enjoy the waterfalls ‘The Seven Sisters’, ‘Bridal Veil’ and ‘Suitor’ and the majestic cliffs that line the fjord. You might even be lucky enough to spot a harbour porpoise! Next stop is Loen; a small village located at the innermost point of the Nordfjord. This peaceful area is encircled by towering mountains, glacial scenery, and deep fjord waters. From Loen, you can ride one of the steepest cable cars up to Mount Hoven, rising 1,011 m above sea level (not included).

Day 6: Loen - Balestrand
Drive through valleys, glaciers, mountain panoramas, fjord glimmers, and charming villages—a compact yet unforgettable slice of Western Norway, before arriving in Balestrand, a charming, picturesque village close to the fjord.

Day 7: Balestrand - Bergen
Head back to Bergen, while driving along the Sognefjord. Short ferry crossing (not included). Welcome back to Bergen, the capital of the fjords!

Day 8: Departure from Norway
