Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Bergen
Arrival in Bergen according to your itinerary. Bergen is a picturesque coastal city located in western Norway, surrounded by mountains and fjords, including the famous Sognefjord. Known as the "Gateway to the Fjords," it boasts colourful wooden houses in the historic Bryggen district, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The city has a vibrant cultural scene, a bustling fish market, and offers easy access to stunning natural landscapes, making it a popular destination for nature lovers and tourists.

Day 2: Bergen – Sunnhordland Geopark (approx. 55km)
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure for a hidden germ of Norway’s west coast : the archipelago of the Sunnhordland Geopark, just south of Bergen. Discover this unique area with surprising geology between open sea, fjords and mountainous terrain where small communities have settled in idyllic sea-side villages. You’ll spend 2 nights in one of them, giving you time to either relax by the sea or explore the area.

Day 3: Sunnhordland Geopark
Breakfast at the hotel. Free day to explore the area. Protected by the UNESCO, the geopark is formed by million years old rocks on the north side formed by volcanism, and rocks from the southern side fragmented from a billion year old Baltika continent, with glaciers coming from inland Norway in between. Whether you’re interested in discovering the local geology and wildlife, hiking, or simply enjoying this unique area by the sea, you’ll easily find something to enjoy here.

Day 4: Sunnhordland Geopark - Stavanger (approx. 170 km)
Breakfast at the hotel. Continue your journey southwards to vibrant city of Stavanger. The “black gold” capital of Norway boasts a collection of gabled houses, cobbled streets, winding alleys and bustling markets. One particularly popular spot is the Old Town (Gamle Stavanger), with its well-preserved 18th-century white wooden houses.

Day 5: Stavanger - Rysstad (approx. 160 km)
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure from Stavanger. Driving inland, you will cross charming landscapes of green valleys, farms and small communities. You will arrive at the highlight of this trip : a glamping stay in the quiet community of Ringstad.

Day 6: Rysstad
Breakfast at the hotel. You are staying in a high quality accommodation with all the comfort you need, all the while being surrounded by untouched forests and a wild river, in the heart of nature. Take the day to explore on your own or book an activity (not included – can be added on request) to go hiking or kayaking. Your accommodation even offers yoga and relaxation classes to fully relax during your stay, or to fully embrace the Nordic spirit, a sauna session (not included – can be added on request)!

Day 7: Rysstad - Ulvik (approx. 280 km)
Breakfast at the hotel. Time to drive back towards Bergen, but not before a last stop in the romantic Hardanger area. This region is like one big postcard; everywhere you turn, you'll look straight into a roaring waterfall or a flowering fruit tree. Following the fjord, you will arrive to Ulvik, a small village located on the shore.

Day 8: Ulvik - Bergen
Breakfast at the hotel. Drive back to where it all started, passing by more beautiful fjords, villages and waterfalls. Stop by the lake town of Voss to discover the Bordalsgjelet Gorge or take the gondola lift up to a beautiful viewpoint over the valley (not included). Back in Bergen, take the rest of the day to explore its narrow streets, its fish market or its historical landmarks.

Day 9: Departure from Bergen
Breakfast at your hotel. Departure from Bergen according to your flight itinerary.
