Enjoy Stockholm, the Swedish’s capital city, but also the regions of lakes and islands, such as Dalarna, Värmland with Karlstad, Bohuslän with its archipelago, Skåne with Malmö and Småland with its glassworkshop.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Stockholm

Arrival in Stockholm Arlanda airport (flight not included). You will be welcomed by our tour leader (language spoken dependent on the guest) as well as our driver. Transfer to the hotel.
Dinner and overnight stay in a hotel in Stockholm region.


Day 2: Stockholm – Mariefred - Jönköping

Scandinavian breakfast. Meet with the city guide for a 4-hours guided tour of Stockholm also known as the Venice of the North. This tour includes a stroll through the Old Town (Gamla Stan) and its picturesque narrow streets, the exterior of the Royal Castle. You will also get an interior visit to City Hall, where the banquet following the Nobel Prize award ceremony is held every year on 10th December and visit the Vasa Museum, with the only preserved ship from the 17th century. Lunch in the city centre. Driver to Mariefred to visit Gripsholm castle, a major Swedish monument dating from the 16th century. Drive along the Vättem lake, the second biggest in Sweden, towards Jönköping.
Dinner and overnight stay in a hotel in Jonköping region.


Day 3: Jönköping – Småland – Kalmar – Karlskrona

Scandinavian breakfast. Departure through the region of Småland, well known for its crystal and glassworks. Stop on the way to visit Kosta Boda glass workshops. Road towards Kalmar. Panoramic tour of this hanseatic city. Lunch on the way. Departure towards Karlskrona, a small 17th-century port town listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Diner and overnight stay in Karlskrona region.


Day 4: Karlskrona – Malmö – Göteborg

Scandinavian breakfast. Driver towards Lund and picture stop at Scandinavian’s largest roman cathedral. Continuation to Malmö for a panoramic tour including Malnohus Castle (outside), the sustainable district of Västra Hammen and the Turning Torso building (outside), one of Sweden's highest building. Lunch. Departure towards the North through Skåne, a region with a great Viking past. Arrival in Göteborg.
Dinner and overnight stay in the city center of Göteborg.


Day 5: Göteborg – Bohuslän – Karlstad

Scandinavian breakfast. This morning, meet your local guide who will take you on a 2-hour guided tour of the city. In the program: the fish market, Götaplatsen square, the Concert Hall (outside), the city theatre (outside), the art museum (outside), and all main sights. Departure for the West Coast of Sweden and the Bohuslän archipelago. Lunch on the way. With its thousands islands, this archipelago is renowned for its many small fishing villages with typical colourful wooden huts. Continuation through Värmland region, with its many lakes. Arrival to the city of Karlstad, on the shore of Sweden's largest lake, Lake Vänern.
Dinner and overnight stay in a hotel in Karlstad.


Day 6: Karlstad – Dalarna – Falun

Scandinavian breakfast. Drive to the heart of the Dalarna region alongside Lake Siljan. Stop in Mora, hometown of the famous painter Anders Zorn. Lunch on the way. You will stop afterwards in Nusnäs to visit a factory producing the famous Dalahäst horses: these small, colourful horses that are typical of the region. Continuation to Falun.

Day 7: Falun – Uppsala – Stockholm
Scandinavian breakfast. Departure towards Uppsala for a panoramic tour of the city. Uppsala is famous for its castle and cathedral, but above all for being home to Scandinavia's oldest university. Lunch on the way. Continuation towards Stockholm. The rest of the afternoon is free for some shopping and to enjoy the city at your own pace.
Dinner and overnight stay in a hotel in the city centre of Stockholm. 


Day 8: Departure from Stockholm

Scandinavian breakfast. Transfer to Stockholm Arlanda airport and help with formalities.

• 7 nights accommodation in hotels of tourism category in the city center (local standard).

Excursions & activities

• Full board from dinner of the first day to breakfast of the last day. Buffet breakfast, 2 courses lunch or buffet + coffee, 3 courses dinner or buffet + coffee. Lunch are usually served in hotel’s restaurant.
• Guided tours of cities, as mentioned is the program, with locally certified guide (spoken language dependent on the client).
• Entrances and visits mentioned in the program.

• Transfers airport / hotel / airport by coach on the first and last day. (1 transfer / day max.)
• Coach transport during the tour

Local tip

The Dalarna horse, "Dalahäst" is a famous symbol of Sweden. It's been traditionnally made for centuries. You can find them especially in Dalarna, and see all the different local design depending on the town you're in.
