Discover the charm of Northern Norway! You will start your stay in Tromsø, the vibrant capital of the Arctic. You will continue your journey in the heart of the arctic before ending your trip on the beautiful island of Sommarøy. Follow in the footsteps of famous polar explorers and explore the Arctic landscapes by dog sled and snowmobile!
Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Tromsø
Arrival at Tromsø Airport, transfer (not included) to the centre of Tromsø and check-in at your hotel. The rich history of this city has earned it two nicknames. The first is the “Paris of the North” due to the numerous trade relations with France during the 19th century and the number of cafes and bars. The second is the “Gateway to the Arctic”, since it was for many decades the heart of Arctic hunting and the starting point for the most legendary expeditions.
Accommodation in Tromsø 3*.
Day 2: Dog sledding
Breakfast at the hotel. You will depart in the morning (25-minute transfer, included) for a dog sledding excursion. Harnessed in pairs per sled (one driver, one passenger), you will traverse magnificent landscapes! If conditions do not allow, you will automatically be seated in the sled instead of driving. Warm clothing is provided and you will have the opportunity to visit the kennel with the young puppies. Afterwards, a Sami meal will be served under a traditional tent, with coffee and homemade cake. Return to Tromsø (transfer included).

There, you will have the chance to go to Camp Nikka, ideally located to observe the Northern Lights! Get your cameras ready! Appropriate clothing will be included.

During this beginner-friendly hike, you will also learn important skills such as how to make a campfire, recognising the local flora and fauna... Afterwards, return to Tromsø and departure for Sommarøy (transfer included).

Day 5: Discovery of the surrounding nature
Breakfast at the hotel and a free day on to explore. An island out of time, Sommarøy offers a unique experience with a breathtaking coastline and perfect dark skies to spot the Northern Lights.
