Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Bergen
Arrival in Bergen according to your itinerary. Bergen is a picturesque coastal city located in western Norway, surrounded by mountains and fjords, including the famous Sognefjord. Known as the "Gateway to the Fjords," it boasts colourful wooden houses in the historic Bryggen district, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The city has a vibrant cultural scene, a bustling fish market, and offers easy access to stunning natural landscapes, making it a popular destination for nature lovers and tourists.

Day 2: Bergen – Ulvik (approx. 150 km)
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure for the Hardanger region. The area is like one big postcard; everywhere you turn, you'll look straight into a roaring waterfall or a flowering fruit tree. From Bergen, it is possible to drive on one of the Norwegian scenic roads and make several stops to admire impressive waterfalls. Following the fjord, you will arrive to Ulvik, a small village located on the coast of the fjord.

Day 3: Ulvik – Skjolden (approx. 230 km)
Breakfast at the hotel. Today, continue your journey toward another fjord, the Sognefjord. Heading to Flåm, you will drive through the active town of Voss and the Stalheim canyon before continuing to Gudvangen and Flåm. From there, it is possible to take the 25 km tunnel to Lærdal or another scenic mountain road, Aurlandsfjellet. Exploring the world’s longest and deepest fjord, you will be surrounded by steep mountains with spectacular waterfalls as well 3 of Norway’s best national parks and glaciers, Jotunheimen, Breheimen and Jostedalen. Today’s drive takes you all the way to the very end of the Sognefjord, where you will find the idyllic village of Skjolden.

Day 4: Skjolden – Geiranger (approx. 180 km)
Breakfast at the hotel. Drive North via Lom to Geiranger, on the mountain of Sognefjellet. From here, hold your breath and get your camera ready - the surroundings are truly stunning, worthy of the most beautiful postcards. Geirangerfjord was added to UNESCO's World Heritage List in 2005 and is a truly unique place, with its waterfalls and steep hills.

Day 5: Geiranger – Hellesylt – Loen (approx. 80 km)
Breakfast at the hotel. Explore the Geirangerfjord while taking the car ferry to Hellesylt. The scenery is breathtaking! You can enjoy the waterfalls ‘The Seven Sisters’, ‘Bridal Veil’ and ‘Suitor’ and the majestic cliffs lining the fjord. You might even be lucky enough to spot a harbour porpoise! Next stop is Loen; a small village located at the innermost point of the Nordfjord. This peaceful area is encircled by towering mountains, glacial scenery and deep fjord waters. From Loen, you can ride one of the steepest cable cars up to Mount Hoven, rising 1,011 m above sea level (not included).

Day 6: Loen – Balestrand (approx. 175 km)
Breakfast at the hotel. Drive through valleys, glaciers, mountain panoramas, fjord glimmers and charming villages—a compact yet unforgettable slice of Western Norway. Back on the shores of the Sognefjord, you arrive in Balestrand, a charming, picturesque village close to the fjord.

Day 7: Balestrand – Bergen (approx. 200 km)
Breakfast at the hotel. Head back to Bergen while driving along the Sognefjord. Short ferry crossing between Lavik and Oppedal (not included). Welcome back to Bergen, the capital of the fjords!

Day 8: Departure from Norway
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure from the hotel to the airport (transfer not included) according to your flight itinerary.
Note: To get from the airport to the city centre or vice versa, we recommend that you use low CO2 emission transport such as private electric cars, local public transport, the airport shuttles “flybussen”.
